Keep your account and stream key safe
Protect passwords, verification codes, and broadcast credentials.

Protect your sign-in
Use a strong, unique password. Never share passwords, verification codes, or password-reset links. Be cautious of messages that ask you to enter credentials on an unfamiliar page.
Keep stream keys private
Your stream key identifies your broadcast. Do not show it on stream, paste it in chat, include it in screenshots, or send it to a stranger. A person with the key may be able to broadcast to your channel.
If a key is exposed, use the stream-key rotation controls in your creator tools and update OBS with the replacement key before streaming again. The old saved key will no longer be the one to use.
Use account recovery carefully
If you suspect someone knows your password, request a reset through Forgot password and secure the email account used for recovery too.
