Fix a problem

OBS will not connect

Check the server URL, stream key, and OBS custom-service settings.

Check your settings

Open Stream Key & OBS Setup and compare the current credentials with OBS → Settings → Stream.

  • Select Custom as the service.
  • Copy the server URL exactly as shown.
  • Copy only the secret key into Stream Key, with no extra spaces.
  • Leave Use authentication unchecked.
  • If you rotated your key, replace the old saved value in OBS.

Multitrack Video prompt

Nexus ingest accepts a single-track RTMP feed. If OBS asks whether to continue without Multitrack Video, continue with the single-track stream. You can turn off Multitrack Video or Enhanced Broadcasting in OBS to avoid that optional prompt; labels vary by OBS version.

Apply your settings, then start streaming in OBS. Check the creator dashboard’s connection information. Never post your full stream key when describing a connection problem.
